Swasti

There are many NGO's in India that dedicate their time and effort to make India a safer and better place to live in.
One of these NGOs is Swasti. It is a health resource centre. They are involved with multiple projects that aim towards eliminating the various problems faced by India.
They allow people to volunteer in their organization in order to work to support their cause for a better India. In order to become a volunteer you will need to complete the Swasti volunteer application (which can find on the website) and send it to hr@swasti.org
To find the application form go to: http://www.swasti.org/contact-us/get-involved

Helping Hands - Project 1

For my first project I am aiming to raise money and use it to sponsor 1 child in India. As I am currently living in Dubai, I have decided to raise money in Dirhams and convert it into Rupees. My friend and I decided to have a mini bake sale in a housing community in Dubai. We baked cakes and went each house in the community in order to sell them. We also raised awareness by telling the customers about the different problems in India and what we are trying to do to help the community. Totally, we raised 400 Dirhams. 400 Dirhams equates to 6764 rupees.
